Horse Racing

There are two categories of competitions:one is a race, it judg the speed;the other one is contest of the horse’s pacing, not the speed.

A horse race is a grand and exciting event. Many herdsmen come from the distance. They put up their tents near the competition grounds, prepare the stoves and cauldrons, sheep and wine. In the competition, the horses race in groups of four or five, The spectators cheering for their favorite riders.The atmosphere is very lively. Prise the red cloths, colored silks, hadas and wine. When the lead horse cross the finish line, the cheering rush to the winner, prise a piece of colored silk for him,and a hada around his neck. The women hang the embroidered bags on the horse’s forelock and mane. Everybody raises their wine cups in congratulations.

Lunziqiu(Wheeling)
